A Guide to Shopping in Lancaster
Lancaster may be pretty small for a city, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have everything you could need. Here’s a comprehensive breakdown of where to get what in the heart of Lancs.
And on Thursday evening from 5pm our Student in the City event will be taking place all across the city - with exclusive discounts, offers and entertainment exclusively for students – run in partnership with Lancaster BID and your students’ union. You don’t need to pre-book, and the event is completely free, but if you do – there's even a free welcome drink in it for you! Find out more here.

At some point, you’ll be stood in your kitchen wondering how you could possibly forget needing a tin-opener. Luckily, there are plenty of places for you to buy homeware that are just a bus ride away!
If you’re looking for something a bit further afield, don’t worry. LUSU are organising a trip to IKEA Warrington for students, at just £5 a ticket!

Sainsbury’s: FYI, there’s a free bus from campus to Sainsbury’s and vice versa every Wednesday during term time
Asda: a little further than others, but worth it if only for the great bedding!
